Canva Alternatives for Business Teams That Make Video

Canva alternatives are usually compared on templates and price per seat. That comparison misses the thing that actually pushes companies to switch, which is almost always one of three specifics: the brand kit sits behind a tier you have not bought, the video features stop short of what you need, or the seat count crossed a line and the annual bill stopped looking incidental.

This comparison is written for teams rather than individuals, and it pays particular attention to video, because most companies now use their design tool for both. Every price below was checked against the vendor's own pricing page in September 2026.

One note before the list. Canva's own pricing page blocks automated checks, so we have not printed Canva's current seat pricing here. Check it directly before you compare, because it is the number your decision turns on.

Why teams look for Canva alternatives

Brand controls are tiered. In most of these tools, including Canva, the brand kit is the feature that separates the free plan from the paid one. If five people publish under your brand and only one has the paid seat, you do not have brand control, you have one person fixing everyone else's work.

Video is the newer half of the job. Design tools have added video, and teams now cut social clips in the same tool they use for a one-pager. That is fine until you need captions at volume, longer exports, or a format the tool does not support.

Seat maths changes at scale. A per-seat tool is cheap for three people and a line item for fifteen. Most switches we see are triggered by a renewal quote, not by a missing feature.

Ownership of the files matters later. Every tool here keeps your work inside its own editor. That is fine until you leave, at which point what you can take with you is whatever it exports. Before standardising on anything, check what a finished project looks like once it is outside the tool, because that is what a future agency, contractor or employee will have to work from.

Listed first for transparency, since we publish this page: we are not a design tool and we do not film. If the problem is that nobody has hours to make the assets, a different tool does not solve it. If someone does have the hours, skip this entry and read the rest.

Adobe Express, the closest all-round replacement

Adobe Express is the nearest like-for-like swap for a team using Canva across social posts, documents and short video. The free tier includes 100,000+ templates, 1M+ Adobe Stock assets, 4,000+ fonts, scheduling to one social account per network and 5GB storage. Premium is $9.99 a month and adds 250 generative AI credits, 200M+ Stock assets, 30,000+ fonts, scheduling to three accounts per network, 100GB storage and brand management. There is also a Firefly Pro tier at $19.99 a month for heavier AI use.

For teams already paying for Creative Cloud, this is the option with the least procurement friction and the shortest argument to make internally. The practical test is whether your people will actually use it: Express is close enough to Canva in feel that the retraining cost is small, which is not true of every option here.

Figma, if design is a discipline rather than a task

Figma is a different category of tool, and it is the right answer for teams whose problem is design consistency rather than volume of assets. The free Starter plan covers unlimited drafts, UI kits and templates, with 150 AI credits a day. Professional is $16 per full seat a month, Organization is $55 and Enterprise is $90, with the larger tiers billed annually.

Figma will not replace Canva for someone who needs a social post in ten minutes, and it is not a video tool. What it does is make components, shared libraries and real version control possible, which is what stops five people drifting apart visually. Teams that move here usually keep something lighter alongside it for quick social work, and that is a reasonable arrangement rather than a failure to consolidate.

Kapwing, for the video half of the job

If the reason you are leaving Canva is video, Kapwing is the most direct replacement. It runs in a browser, so review does not require anyone to install anything. The free plan exports with a watermark and caps projects at 4 minutes. Pro is $24 a month, or $16 billed annually, and adds unlimited watermark-free exports, projects up to 2 hours, a brand kit and custom fonts. Business is $64 a month, or $50 billed annually, with much higher AI subtitle and dubbing limits.

Clipchamp, if your company already pays Microsoft

Canva Alternatives for Business Teams That Make Video image 5

Clipchamp is the quiet option, and its free tier is unusually generous: exports up to 1080p with no watermark and no export limit, which almost no free plan offers. Premium features, including 4K, premium stock and the brand kit tool, arrive bundled with Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans rather than as a separate purchase.

If you already run on Microsoft 365, this skips the slowest part of adopting any tool, which is getting a new vendor through security review and onto a card. The tradeoff is depth: Clipchamp handles straightforward edits well and gets awkward once you want precise control over timing, layered audio or anything resembling motion design.

Visme, for documents and data-heavy assets

Visme is the strongest of this group for reports, infographics and anything where a chart matters more than a filter. Starter is $12.25 a month or $147 a year, and Pro is $24.75 a month or $297 a year.

Two limits are worth knowing before you commit. The brand kit starts at Pro, and so do MP4, GIF and PPTX exports. On the free and Starter plans you can export JPG, PNG and PDF only, which rules Starter out for any video use.

What each option costs at five seats

Per-seat pricing is where the decision usually lands, so it is worth doing the arithmetic before the renewal conversation rather than during it. Using each vendor's published rates for a team of five:

Tool Plan with a brand kit Cost for 5 people
Adobe Express Premium, $9.99/mo $49.95 a month
Kapwing Pro, $16/mo billed annually $80 a month
Visme Pro, $24.75/mo $123.75 a month
Figma Professional, $16/seat/mo $80 a month
Clipchamp Bundled with Microsoft 365 No additional cost if already licensed

Two caveats on that table. Kapwing and Visme price per workspace and per user differently depending on plan, so confirm whether your five people need five seats or one shared workspace before budgeting. And Clipchamp's "no additional cost" only holds if your company already pays for the right Microsoft 365 tier, which is worth checking with whoever manages that contract rather than assuming.

The number that actually matters is not the monthly figure but whether the brand kit reaches everyone who publishes. A cheaper plan that covers one seat out of five is not cheaper, it is a consistency problem with a lower invoice.

How to choose between Canva alternatives

  1. Which tier has the brand kit, and how many seats need it? This is the real price of the tool, not the headline per-seat figure.
  2. Does it need to export video, and in what format? Visme gates MP4 behind Pro. Kapwing and Clipchamp are video-first.
  3. How many people publish? Under three, almost anything works. Over ten, per-seat pricing dominates the decision.
  4. What does your company already pay for? Microsoft 365 makes Clipchamp nearly free. Creative Cloud makes Express nearly free.
  5. Is the problem consistency or capacity? Different problems, different answers, and only one of them is solved by software.

What we verified, and when

Every figure in this article came from the vendor's own pricing page in September 2026, not from other comparison posts. Software pricing moves, and roundups that copy each other's numbers go stale quickly.

Canva itself is the deliberate gap. Its pricing page blocks automated checking, so rather than repeat a number from a secondary source we have left it out. If a comparison quotes exact current prices for every tool including Canva, it is worth asking where those figures came from.

When the answer is not a different tool

Every option above assumes somebody has the hours. That assumption is where most plans quietly fail: the tool is bought, a burst of assets gets made, and three weeks later the person who makes them is doing their actual job again.

Our own research on the video editing market found that the overwhelming majority of video-related search demand is people looking for software rather than for help. Most teams reach for a tool first. The ones that publish consistently tend to be the ones who eventually stop.

If video specifically is the bottleneck, our CapCut alternatives comparison covers the video-first tools in more depth, and our guide to AI video editing tools covers what AI does and does not handle.

Pixel8 Production is a video editing agency for B2B and SaaS teams. We do not film. We edit footage you already have, with a dedicated editor and a 48-hour standard turnaround, for $2,000 to $3,200 per month after a $900 one-time trial. Our pricing sets out what each plan covers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Canva alternative for teams?

Adobe Express is the closest all-round replacement and the easiest to justify if you already pay for Creative Cloud. Figma is better if the real problem is design consistency, and Kapwing or Clipchamp are better if the work is mostly video.

Is there a free Canva alternative with no watermark?

Yes. Clipchamp's free tier exports up to 1080p with no watermark and no export cap. Adobe Express and Figma both have genuinely usable free tiers as well, though their limits sit elsewhere.

Which Canva alternative includes a brand kit on the cheapest paid plan?

Adobe Express includes brand management on Premium at $9.99 a month, which is the lowest paid entry point of the tools here. Kapwing includes a brand kit from Pro at $24 a month, or $16 billed annually, and Visme from Pro at $24.75.

Can I export video from Visme?

Only on the Pro plan or above. The free and Starter plans export JPG, PNG and PDF only. MP4, GIF and PPTX exports start at Pro, which is $24.75 a month or $297 a year.

How much is Figma per seat?

$16 per full seat a month on Professional. Organization is $55 and Enterprise is $90, both billed annually. The free Starter plan covers unlimited drafts and templates.

Is Adobe Express the same as Photoshop?

No. Express is a template-driven tool for quick social posts, documents and short video, closer to Canva than to Photoshop. It is included in Creative Cloud plans, which is why teams paying for Adobe already often have it without realising.

Should a small team switch away from Canva at all?

Often not. If three people publish occasionally and the brand kit is on the one seat that matters, switching costs more in retraining than it saves. The switch usually makes sense at a renewal, when seat count has grown.

Does changing design tools fix inconsistent output?

Rarely. If assets are late because the person making them has another full-time job, a new tool changes the logo placement and nothing else. Tools fix consistency problems. They do not fix capacity problems.
