New EdTech Classroom
The Challenge

A teacher with great content and no time to edit it

Sam Kary, a US-based educator, started New EdTech Classroom to help teachers discover and use technology in their classrooms. The content was genuinely useful - detailed walkthroughs of tools like Diffit, ClassEquity, and AI for educators - but the editing process was a constant bottleneck.

Teaching full-time and running a YouTube channel simultaneously meant editing always fell to the bottom of the priority list. Videos were delayed, upload cadence was inconsistent, and the growing demand from the teacher community couldn't be matched by one person managing everything alone.

Sam needed a reliable editing partner who could handle the entire post-production workflow - edit, captions, thumbnails, formatting - and turn raw footage into polished uploads on a consistent weekly schedule. Without that, the channel's growth potential would stay capped by available hours.

Our Approach

A consistent weekly production system Sam never has to manage

1

Dedicated editor who knows the EdTech space

From the start, we assigned a single dedicated editor to Sam's account. Over time, that editor built deep familiarity with the EdTech niche - common tools, teacher audience expectations, pacing that works for tutorial content - meaning less briefing, faster turnarounds, and a consistent voice across every upload.

2

Tutorial-first editing for teacher audiences

EdTech tutorial content requires a specific rhythm: clear chapter markers, on-screen callouts for every key click, zooms at the right moments, and a pace that doesn't lose beginners. We built a house style tailored to Sam's audience of K-12 and higher-ed teachers who need to follow along and replicate what they see.

3

Thumbnail system designed to drive clicks in education search

The majority of Sam's traffic comes from YouTube search and browse. We developed a thumbnail style using large, readable tool logos, clean bold text, and Sam's face - consistently outperforming his earlier thumbnails on click-through rate and designed to be legible at small sizes on a teacher's phone.

4

219 videos delivered over 3+ years - without missing a beat

Over the course of the partnership, we've edited and delivered 219 videos. Sam films; we handle everything else. The channel has never gone quiet. Consistent uploads every week allowed the algorithm to compound - watch time, search ranking, and subscriber growth built on each other over years, not months.

Pixel8 has been the backbone of my channel for over three years. I film, they handle everything else - and the quality has been consistent from video one to video two hundred. I genuinely couldn't have built this without them.
